A creative collaboration rooted in Saudi design, Nomad Journey brings together the talents of Kristina Zanic Consultants and BSH Walls & Floors to unveil a deeply personal exploration of the Kingdom’s cultural and geographical richness. Crafted through the lens of our Saudi interior designers, the collection reflects a shared desire to translate regional identity into contemporary design—inviting others to discover the layered beauty of the country beyond its expected narratives
The collection features five hand-made textured rugs, each measuring 140cm x 200cm and made from 100% New Zealand wool. Thoughtfully carved to varying pile heights, every rug is a tactile reflection of a region’s essence—its patterns, materials, and soul. From architecture and textiles to colors and craftmanship, the collection traces a traveler’s journey through Saudi Arabia, capturing moments of cultural significance along the way.
Salwa (Najd Region) - A tribute to the organic building forms and warm, earthy textures of the central desert. Its patterns mirror the traditional mud and plaster structures that define the landscape.
Ebiah (Najd Region) - A geometric interpretation of Sadu weaving, symbolizing the nomadic heritage and rhythmic artistry of central Saudi traditions.
Naqsh (Aseer Region) - Inspired by the vibrant Qatt Asiri murals, this design celebrates the geometric color play painted by women in southern homes.
Bish (Al Ahsa Region) - A warm, embroidered expression of the traditional men's cloak, referencing the Eastern region’s textiles and the refined richness of Lumi Hassawi hues.
Al Roshin (Western Region) - Showcasing the intricate wooden lattice of mashribia windows, this rug honors the architectural language of historic Hejazi homes.
Originally launched at INDEX Saudi Arabia, the collection drew such enthusiastic attention that it is now available for order, with customizable sizes for both residential and commercial interiors. Nomad Journey gives design lovers the chance to own a curated expression of Saudi heritage, blended with modern sensibility.
